This article presents a brief overview of the author’s research-informed family resilience framework, which was developed to guide clinical and communitybased practice with families facing adversity. This collaborative strengths-based approach is particularly useful in rebounding from crisis, trauma, and loss; in navigating disruptive transitions; in dealing with chronic multi-stress conditions; and in successful adaptation to new life circumstances.
