The study, conducted on a sample of 29 cases of online child sexual abuse referred to CISMAI centers, was carried out by Save the Children along with CISMAI. The goal of the study was to assess young victims’ age, gender, psychological problems, how the sexual abuse had been perpetrated, who the sexual offenders were, how children, adolescents and their parents had been taken care of by professionals and with what outcomes. Based on those outcomes, the authors suggest some basic preconditions to prevent online child sexual abuse and to help the young victims.

Keywords: Online child sexual abuse, children, adolescents, prevention, treatment.
