Stress genitoriale materno e sintomatologia post-traumatica in bambini esposti al conflitto genitoriale: un modello di mediazione

In letteratura, sebbene siano noti gli effetti post-traumatici della violenza domestica sui figli, una nuova direzione di ricerca esplora il ruolo dello stress genitoriale quale potenziale meccanismo esplicativo di tali associazioni. Prendendo a riferimento tali recenti indicazioni e i suggerimenti del modello Cognitivo Contestuale, il presente studio, condotto su un gruppo normativo di 75 famiglie di bambini di età scolare, si propone di: 1) analizzare le associazioni tra conflitto genitoriale, sintomatologia post-traumatica e stress genitoriale materno; 2) valutare gli effetti delle specifiche dimensioni dello stress genitoriale materno (distress genitoriale, interazione disfunzionale genitore-figlio e bambino difficile) sulla sintomatologia post-traumatica e 3) esplorare se le valutazioni soggettive (di minaccia percepita e autobiasimo) dei bambini possano mediare gli effetti dello stress materno sui sintomi post-traumatici. I risultati indicano che l’interazione disfunzionale genitore-figlio esercita un impatto significativo sui sintomi post-traumatici, dissociativi, di ansia e depressione, grazie alla mediazione della minaccia percepita; mentre distress genitoriale favorisce i sintomi di rabbia, grazie alla mediazione dell’autobiasimo.
