The Decree 167/2011 redesigned all the legislation related to Apprenticeship, with the objective of re-launching it and making it the main channel to introduce youngsters to the labour market. According to this Decree, the Regions play a fundamental role by regulating many aspects related to the traineeship component. The Veneto Region implemented, within the prescribed time limit, the new national legislation, thereby allowing the companies in the territory to fully benefit from the new Apprenticeship contract. The Apprenticeships experiences in Veneto were initiated some years before the new Testo Unico (Single Legislation) officially entered into force; the Confindustria system in the Region has actively taken part in it, particularly in connection with professional apprenticeships, and high qualification and research apprenticeships
