The A. reports on the principal issues discussed by a number of scholars of different disciplines in the seven sessions of a forum held in Reggio Emilia by November 2013, under the coordination of Giampiero Berti and Carlo De Maria, in preparation for a national conference held by May 2014. Special attention is paid to the main approaches and methods practised by scholars as regards the general histories of Italian anarchism, the biographies of four generations of militants, the informal circuits, both national and international, and the cultural and social dimension of political activity.
