Freud, la morte e i piaceri sessuali. Sui meccanismi psichici del Dr. Sigm. Freud (seconda parte) Through an examination of the Freudian writings concerning Oedipus complex and infantile sexuality, the author points out what he considers the total unreliability of these doctrines. Freud, in fact, had a wholly idiosyncratic relationship with sex because of the personal history of his relation with parental figures, as clearly emerges from his letters to Fliess. Thus, as a scientist, he should have applied an extremely cautious attitude to this subject, in order not to run the risk of generalizing his very peculiar, personal experience, and not to raise it to the level of a theoretical model. But on the contrary, Freud never retreated, not even when facing the most incredible statements.
