In this work, Authors present a research evaluating the organisation of family links and relationships through the administration of the test "Family Life Space" to the families with eating disorders patients. The evaluation was carried out in order to verify the effectiveness of an integrative treatment including family therapy plus medical-nutritional intervention (experimental sample) compared with the only medical nutritional intervention, as usual (control sample). To the families of both the sample, the FLS was administrated before and after the treatment. Family psychotherapy shows a clear effectiveness in transforming the organisation of family space (links and relationships) evaluated by the FLS. The family and individual changes, promoted by the integrative, multidisciplinary treatment, are correlated with a clear improvement of clinical parameters in anorexic as well as in bulimic patients.
