Measure local or national government action in relation to the effects that occur on the lives of women, is an assessment that takes place "weighing" the amount of resources devoted to public budgets through the method of gender auditing. Gender budgeting is now a practice adopted in real countries. In Italy the first experiences of gender budgeting by local governments have started in 2001 has been realized by the Emilia-Romagna, then in other municipalities and provinces, but often remained sporadic experiences. The town of Forli, after a trial in the previous legislature, in 2010 incorporated the business on gender budgeting among the "standard" of the institution, based on a strong female presence in the administration and a council made up equally between men and women, an element that made the Forum on the PA classified as "pink city of Italy". The idea is to make gender budgeting tool of participatory democracy for women.
