The theory and the practice of the inter-subjectivity stress that psyche of two or several subjects are in reciprocity. The identification plays an active share in these inter-plays: to be in resonance with others means capacity to be put at its place and to be identified with its experience. Child’s identification supposes a length develop impregnation of ego modifying him and includes in him aspects of the mental activity or the personality of the other. One is not identified with others without being upset by the link with him, for what it expresses or shows. Before being identified with him, one needs to recognize his place in the family links. For example, the mother identifies the father (indicates it) like the child’s father and vice versa. One notes consequently that the identification adopts three characteristics according to the grammatical forms attributive, reflexive and passive of the word: "I identify you with another", "I am identified with you or with the other", "I am identified like such". In practice of young or adolescent children, one observes clearly that a relative repudiated parent in his function is rejected because its situation does not create the conditions to be taken as model. Idea of inter-subjectivity underlines these positioning are determined by parents’ inter-subjectivity, and more largely by the various family members. At the same time as the recognition is mutual, the identification is always reciprocal. Examples of therapies and analyses show the various prospects which can open by the concept of intersubjectivity.
