The article presents some thoughts on resilience in the frame of analytical psychology, where this concept has not yet reached a definite role. Results from ethology and neuroscience bring empirical support to Jungian hypothesys on psychic functioning. Amongst all, a particular attention is given to the principle of self-regulation and the compensation processes. Concerning analytical psychology, Kalsched’s work on the "Inner World of Trauma" is taken into account.
