The survey conducted by Acli of Bologna, arises from a twofold necessity: on one hand, to analyze migration in relationship with the issue of work in the most objective way; on the other hand, to better understand who are the people with whom the operators of Acli Migrants Office (Sportello Immigrati) interact every day, with the objective to develop a more effective and efficient network of service for the entire community. This analysis starts form the direct experience of Acli Migrants Office and is based on a questionnaire distributed to 290 users of the Office. The questionnaire analyzes many aspects of everyday life connected to education, to the whole migrant project, to social relationships, and to the most used services of the territory. The aim is to highlight the dynamics of action of those immigrants who are looking for a job, in order to understand the way they interact with the territory, what services and relationships they use and, most important, point out the critical issues of the system. The study shows that in the Bologna area migrants have very few opportunity to choose, their education and competences are not fairly considered and in many cases they are not satisfied with their job.
