The objective of this research is to propose a model aimed at providing the planning process with tools for the design and evaluation of equipped settlements, which are energetically self-sufficient and capable of coping with climate change. The model uses a system of indicators specifically built from a broad survey of scientific articles and international experience. In addition, it is applied to a case study providing reflection points and ideas for its development.
