This paper considers the following technologies: microswitches, VOCA, microswitch clusters, computer programs for the choice. The microswitches are the most effective mean to enable people with multiple disabilities to interact with the environment and to control sources of stimulation. The VOCA provides people characterized by multiple and serious disabilities (unable to communicate verbally) the possibility of submitting requests aimed to get things or to interact with other people. Microswitch clusters are a key resource for developing programs aimed at strengthening adaptive responses and reducing behavior issues. Computer programs for choice are technological solutions using visual or audio stimuli that are possible targets of choice for people who have no chance to direct access to these stimuli in the real world. For each of these technologies we refer to the research activities already carried out in our scientific activity.
