The essay considers the hope as important foundation of human experience. Like the anguish and the wait, the hope lives in the future and nurses human relationships, care, in psychiatry, together at philosophical and theological considerations about the object. The authors make difference between hope and anguish: if the second is sorrow’s surgent and life’s loss of sense, the hope is open to possibility of the future. Across Minkowski and Pascal we understand better the words of suicidal patient afflict by acute depression, that, imprisoned by disease, didn’t even death’s hope. Then the empaty between the patient and the psychiatrist helps the cure in silent’s hearing, the hope is like a bridge that goes us out the solitude and become creative hope.
