Examining the Frantz Fanon clinical papers, the author underlines how, for the martinican psychiatrist, clinic cannot be separated from an accurate comprehension of the individual and social story of the patient. The insulation of the clinical act, as normal and useful in european society, makes this act fully unable to produce any modification of the patient clinical situation.
