Is there still time to catch up the long latency of our Italian memories about the experience of Fascism? What are the links between personal and collective memories and what can we rebuild about it? What is happening in Italy today is also the result of the cushy omission of the facts that painfully marked our past? Around these questions Ariele’s Gruppo Polis committed itself in a year-long research, discussion and reflection work. Thanks to different disciplines and our families memories, we pointed out three different vertices to observe the problem. Above all, the research group investigated on the "memory as working-through of meaning" looking for failings and avoidances that characterise our present times and that could be the cause of the scary social and political events we are facing with.
