The strong sense of restlessness that overwhelms us when we meet the Other, a foreign Other never seen before, is even more intense when this person is someone with a life studded with traumas and ca-tastrophes, dramatic events that cannot be thought of or even men-tioned. In this brief essay, the author describes two clinical situations where the psychic fragmentation given by uncontrollable and non-tolerable circumstances of life, has a predominant role in the therapeu-tic process. During the meetings, transfer and countertransfert chase each other in a game of lights where the subdued and whispered re-quest in the background, echoes in an exasperating way: Razwan and Bangash pretend to be recognized in their continuity and cohesion, without fractures and suspensions. Two migrants hosted in a homeless shelter with no more roots or identity and shred hearts, asking the ther-apist (helped by the cultural mediator) to be seen and recognized in their entirety as a human beings, without the constant fear of disap-pearing and not existing.
