The border, the distance and the fear. The article attempts to investigate how the fear of conta-gion has given rise to new configurations of "us", of "the other" and of the spaces in which we move. The virus has alienated us from each other, forcing us to a border period, or better to "confinement", a situation to which we were neither used nor prepared. New barriers have been created between states, but also between individuals, the distance to which the fear of contagion forced us, has given rise to a new proxemics, profoundly changing our daily habits.
