The many faces of social distress and psychological suffering today share the same difficulty: the individual’sinability to relate. From a psychological point of view we see the image of the addicted subject prisoner of arid loneliness, in whichthe relationship has taken on the characteristics of an absolute bond that renders him or her orphan of the rela-tionship with the other. An important role in the recovery and treatment of people with addiction problems are today the therapeuticcommunities within which the relationship with the other takes shape, in which the operators of the health,social and educational professions every day through a work of network strive to welcome, understand, dia-logue and know the multiple faces of suffering and understand the causes, leading it to recover those emo-tional, cognitive, social, relational skills that addictions have canceled, leading them to rediscover their dignityas a man.
