The Author, moving on the one hand from the identification of the elements that, over time, led the financial crisis of the welfare state, and on the other hand from the observation that attempts to overcome this crisis have always resulted in the progressive reduction of the effectiveness of public social protection, questions about the ways in which to deal with the consequences of the continuing economic crisis, with particular reference to the protection of social security rights of future generations.
