The comment is focused on four points. First, it states that the behavior of people in the labour market can be explained both by cultural-psychological and socio-economic points of view. Second, it outlines the fact that too many women leave their job forever when they have a child. Third, it shows that in Italy the number of resignations might be overestimated as some workers move from a firm to another firm that are different only by the legal point of view. Fourth, it wishes that a new cooperation between labour law and socioeconomics could cope with important problems such as the involuntary part time and the fixed term jobs.
