Since the Industrial Revolution, the Valtellina Valley has been shaped to produce energy through water exploitation. Despite the increasing importance of renewable energy sources, the viability of this landscape is undermined by climate change and the consequent depletion of water resources. This contribution examines the close relationships between energy infrastructure and the space that sustain its operation. By exploring the connections between water, energy, and territory, it opens possibilities for rethinking established systems through strategies and projects that enable more effective resource use.
