Dati telerilevati e beni pubblici globali

ECONOMIA PUBBLICA

Fascicolo: 5-6 / 2008

Dati telerilevati e beni pubblici globali - This paper is an initial investigation of the possibility that remote sensing data be regarded as global public goods. Remote sensing data for civil applications may be considered as Moreover products since the marginal cost from an additional use is close to zero. Indeed, remote sensing data are a form of scientific knowledge and as such have an important public good trait. Furthermore, this is also a consequence of the general opinion that regards environmental resources as global public goods and natural disasters as international public bads. To show that remote sensing data have the potential to be considered global public goods has significant implications. Indeed, global public goods provide a rationale for international collective action, which is the only way to produce and share them, given that a global governmental authority does not exist. The paper will recall examples of international initiatives and programs that are based on data sharing principles implying full and open exchange of data and implicitly recognizing that remote sensing data are global public goods.

Fascicolo: 3 / 2007

Understanding and regulation of anger in sports-active and non-sport active adolescents ABSTRACT: Within social constructivistic paradigm, emotions follow a series of regulatory principles according to the meaning to be attributed to elicited situations ranging from rules of behaviour (intensity of expression), anticipated progress and development and finally from rules of attribution or criteria of legitimacy regarding social value systems in which emotions are expressed (Averill, 1982; Armon-Jones, 1986; Harrè, 1986). This study analyses the impact of socialisation processes linked to sport activities (sporting context) on anger regulation in a group of adolescents. The effects of gender and socialcultural level are also examined. Forty-nine adolescents from Rome, aged from 11 to 14, took part in the research. Each of the participants was given: five emotigene scenarios (elicitant pictures of emotional aspects related to injustice and frustration) (D’Urso, 2001) in a version adapted for adolescents during the pilot phase of this study. Regarding the differences between sporting and non-sporting adolescents and between males and females, several interesting outcome emerged. In short, the sporting group demonstrated a greater capacity to modulate the expression of anger compared to the nonsporting group. With respect to gender, the girls showed a greater propensity than the boys for expressing their anger directly.

Il terapeuta ed il giocatore d’azzardo

PSICOBIETTIVO

Fascicolo: 2 / 2015

ECONOMIA AGRO-ALIMENTARE

Fascicolo: 2 / 2013

The work aims at formulating hypothesis on the actual alterity (Kirwan, 2004) ofthose realities that either define themselves or have been considered in the Calabriapolitical, social and scientific contexts as examples of "filiere corte", that is as foodpractices characterised by the afn (Alternative Food Networks) features, in the waythey have been defined by the international scientific literature. The study rises fromthe need to avoid the "conceptual conflation" (Tregear, 2011), which biased the fncomprehension at the international level and is finding a fertile land within theItalian scientific and empiric reality where scholars discuss the "filiere corte" initiativesin the frame of the afn studies although warning on the possibility ofoverlapping existing practices typical of an agri-food system that is not completelymodernised (Malassis & Ghersi, 1998; Rossi et al., 2008). Concerning this last pointCalabria doesn’t lag behind requiring an investigation on the actual nature andalterity of those realities framed among the "filiera corta" initiatives.Favouring a theoretical frame that allows considering the existing realities asdynamically interacting, rather than opposing each other, Convention Theory is thetheoretical starting point operationalized through the Granovetter (1985) concept of "emebeddedness": "filiere corte" are identified as one of the possible conventionsorganizing the Calabria agri-food system and shaping in the relation with the otheragri-food, political and social systems. After an empiric analysis, three generaltypologies have been identified among those either self-defined or recognised as"filiere corte": Farmer’s Market, GAS and GODO. Moreover three hypothesis ontheir technical, social and political "alterity" have been introduced: in the first case itcould derive from their ability to close the food chain, merging supply and demand;secondly it could be founded on their capacity to stimulate local form of socialcooperation; third they seem to require an innovative participatory approach in orderto be politically framed. Each of the three hypothesis are theoretically elaborated andrequire further empirical tests.

Interazione caffè-microbiota intestinale: una revisione della letteratura

PNEI REVIEW

Fascicolo: 2 / 2018

Fascicolo: 66 / 2016

The paper analyzes, in a diachronic perspective, the sociological scientific production of Sapienza University. The type and languages of publication, and the co-authorship phenomenon are examined from 2004 to 2014, assuming that the implementation of the policies of evaluation of research ("VTR", "VQR") and regulatory changes on careers (comparative evaluations known as "ASN") had an effect on the characteristics of the scientific production. The explorative analysis here presented, with all the limitations of a case study, shows (through the data extracted from the scientific production repository used by this University) different trends of changes in the characteristics of the contributions and in the different ways of publishing, in the decade 2004-2014. The results provide an interesting framework on sociological scientific production and - in relation to the implementation of the evaluation policies - evidence on the effects that the evaluation processes are producing on scientific communication.

I socialisti italiani e l'internazionale socialista: 1947-1958

MONDO CONTEMPORANEO

Fascicolo: 2 / 2005

The Italian Socialist Party represents an anomaly within the European family of Socialism, which, in 1947, at the beginning of the Cold War, made a clear choice for the West. On the contrary, the PSI refused to break the link with the Italian Communist Party, although this loyalty would cause for the rejection from the International Socialist Organization (COMISCO) and the rupture of the Party’s unity. Italian Socialism, divided in two parties (PSI and PSDI), became a weaker political force in the Italian political system, dominated by the Catholics (DC) and Communists’ (PCI) big organizations. At the beginning of the Fifties, and in particular in 1956, in order to regain a central role in the Italian political scene, Pietro Nenni, leader of the PSI, attempted to reach an agreement with Giuseppe Saragat, leader of the Democratic Socialist Party. Based on documents available in international archives such as the International Socialist Organization Archives in Amsterdam and the Archives of the Labour Party in London this essay analyses, step by step, the rupture with the COMISCO (1947-1949) and the attempts to rebuild the unity of the party and to re-enter the ISO (1955-1963).

La bioetica e i media

PARADIGMI

Fascicolo: 1 / 2011

Fascicolo: 32 / 2001

The article summarizes a research focused on the refractions between tale and chronicle. The corpus of the research consists of the whole American TV series The X-files, that the authoress assumes as an exemplar text in order to investigate the narrative structures that characterise big and small today’s tales (individual and collective), and the fall of the confines between fiction and chronicle, fiction and individual tales. The authoress proposes to read the text through multiple accesses, stating an analogy between the structure of the tale and the structure of an interactive hypertext (like a videogame), and giving some link (necessarily arbitrary) through which the text can be interpreted: pervasive themes like those of the double and of the reflex, those of the loss, of the end, of the mythical time, of the conspiracy and likelihood syndrome. Moreover the authoress touches upon other subjects treated within the research and more closely linked to the reception of the text, like the interesting phenomenon of production of accessory or secondary narrativity in the Web; with regard to this matter, the authoress proposes a possible theory about the practices of textual re-writing.
