It is only in the last two decades that American historiographers have begun to deal with the contributions of those women who, in spite of the key role they played in shaping the history of psychology, have been omitted from histories of psychology. As for Europe, those women whose intellectual and scientific careers were significant in terms of both the evolution of psychology and social impact, have been entirely neglected.
