Our experimental protocol allows to investigate the subject’s ability to understand and produce different types of communicative acts, as for example, basic speech acts, direct and indirect speech acts, irony and deceit. The protocol is composed by four evaluation scales: linguistic, extralinguistic, paralinguistic and social appropriateness. The battery was administered individually to 300 children, equally divided into three age groups: from 5 to 5;6, from 6;6 to 7 and from 8 to 8;6 years.
