AB -   The following article describes a family therapy case, during whose sessions children were present. After the loss of a member, the family system experiences a stage of its life cycle which requires a process of readjustment. Particular attention is paid here to the description of therapy sessions dedicated to the elaboration of mourning and grief. The psychotherapeutic model we adopted is that of systemic/relational family therapy; the main methods we employed include genogram and the use of metaphors, drawing, playing and storytelling during psychotherapeutic sessions.
