In the new global and pluralistic society, it appears essential to provide teachers with the necessary skills not only to adapt to the continuous changes taking place, but also to constantly redefine their educational function and their teaching methodologies. The necessity of provide effective intercultural training to teachers has often been repeated, over the past decades, by both the european institutions and by many scholars who have addressed the issue of education and integration of immigrant pupils in schools of the Old Continent. In this regard, the invitations to participate in european of mobility programs are of particular interest to guarantee all educators the opportunity to have training and personal development experiences that lead them to come into direct contact with other educational and cultural realities and to get to know others points of view and other ways of doing school. In this article, particular attention will be paid to the examination of the Recommendations, Resolutions and various documents drawn up by the european institutions regarding intercultural education and the issue of intercultural teacher training.
