The present research has explored the relationship between humor and quality of life, described as physical and psychological well being. The purpose of the research was to examine the relationship between humor and health, empowerment and coping strategies. Research participants were 333, 160 males and 173 females. The participants were administered the following scales: Ziv Humor Test; Coping Humor Scale; Symptom Checklist-90-R; Empowerment Scale. The correlations between the scales show that to a higher inclination to humour, especially in the appreciation dimension, corresponds a better health. Participants with more inclination to humor have greater empowerment levels, especially in the leadership subscale. Those who have high scores on the Coping Humor Scale have low scores on the scale of psychosomatic illness and a higher scores in all the three dimensions of empowerment.
