The essay examins the ability of second and third generation Italians to fit in the Australian society. In particular it reconstructs Italian ethnical entreprenuership in professions and general employment. On one side Italians have demonstrated the will to integrate and conform to Australian life style and models: in fact the employment in the service industry has been generally preferred. On the other side a considerable niche of ethnical entrepreneurs has staked on the sense of Italian identity and created successful enterprises, able to get over the immigrant community.
