The place of training for the development of communities of practice This paper explores the place of training for the development of communities of practice. In particular, it focuses on an approach we labelled management learning with the organization and some theoretical concepts of learning as community of practice participation. We then present a training intervention inspired by the idea of management learning with the organization. In conclusion we describe a profile of this approach useful in order to design training actions able to create, spread and transmit knowledge and meet communities of practice in an authentically critical and clinical way.
