The political framework of Pierre-Simon Ballanche works is very uncertain still today. The register of the two most intelligent works (by Paul Bénichou and Mona Ozouf) recently devoted to the poet from Lyon are in facts based on analogies and differences as to the classical themes of counter-revolution. And the title of this work refers to the uncertainty of thematic borders, highlighting the full understanding of the interpretative core formulated by Bénichou e Ozouf. Without forgetting that the works of Ballanche is also at the time borders of counterrevolution: known only to a small number of experts, it only entered the circuit of political literature in the Thirties.
