The paper reports research data concerning the confrontation of a group of entrepreneurs and a group of managers with the normative values of large sections of the Italian population in terms of work values, self-image, self-efficacy and the critical aspects of social adjustment. The present study also examines correlation between two sets of work values: believes and Self-Guides.Two groups of people took part: 183 entrepreneurs and 109 managers. The results underlined significant differences according to how the groups were composed (normative, entrepreneurial and managerial). The entrepreneurs and managers show marked differences as far as work values are concerned. The results permit, moreover, a hypothesis regarding a relative independence between the two sets of values.
