Empirical analysis confirms the theory (Allport, Elias) that indicates the relation between the absence of contact/relationship/communication and the menacing image of foreigners, in keeping with ideological visions of differentialism that get stronger if foreigners are perceived as an outside group, not conforming to social rules and not open in ethnic belonging.
