The way in which questions of professional guidance are posed within a specific organization depends, essentially, on collective representations and on the ways of organizing work. With globalization, some representations are reinforced, as is the case of those who consider the human being an isolated individual fundamentally responsible for oneself. On the other hand, to confront growing competition, many companies have organized themselves in a more flexible manner (boundaryless organization) around a stable nucleus of multi-purpose workers integrated with peripheral workers, whose status is precarious. The various problems of adult professional guidance currently points to the same fundamental question the orientation of one’s existence which then evokes an ethical dimension.
