The riorganization process of separated clinical families: Adaptation, co-parenting, and family alliences - The challenge for separated parents is that separation introduces elements of continuity and break in the evolution of the family. The ex-partner, even though they are no longer married, continue to be coparent. The purpose of the present study is to examine 33 separated and conflict families as regard to adjustment to separation, coparenting and family alliance and to explore their relationships. Multi-method procedure involves both self report mea-sure for the evaluation of representations’ level and observational measure for the evaluation of interactive models. Preliminary results indicate functional and dysfunctional pathways between the families and show the association between representation level and interactive practices.
