"E tu che c’entri?": citizen between evaluation, evaluators and Public Administration - The article discusses the relationship between evaluation, Public Adiministrations and citizens exploring in introductory terms both the main characteristics of this relationship itself and what lies behind every single pole of this triangle. Going deeper into these concepts implies not to reduce evaluation to its technical-methodological dimension but to fully assume the role played in the relationship by Public Administrations as organisations and by the citizens in their various and heterogeneous profiles and configurations. The concept of evaluation governance represents, in this context, a useful tool for trying to identify the ways in which citizens can participate in evaluation but also for putting in evidence the need to carefully manage participation itself.

Keywords: Evaluation governance, participation.
