The author describes the Wartegg Test - a new instrument for selection and career guidance - and the Crisi interpretative methodology, that takes into account the requirements of the Italian Armed Forces and State Police. Two software - selection and career guidance - are now currently in use. In 1999, the Italian Navy tests the Crisi methodology and subsequently decides to add the Wartegg Test to the current selection and career guidance proceedings. Evidence of the effectiveness of the instrument appears when comparing the output data of the Wartegg Software with the data of the psychological tests of Livorno’s Naval Academy entrance exam. The qualities of the test - easy and fast to apply - and the accuracy of the assessments makes it a useful tool for group-administration. Thanks to a custom-designed software it provides significant cost benefit improvements, precise evaluations and career guidance.
