The author illustrates a clinic case of a patient with a diagnosys of Borderline Personality Disorder. In the first part the case is based on the personal and familiar anamnesys, on the mental state, on the reasons of the decompensation, on the mechanisms of maintenance and, in the end, on the patient’s vulnerability. Later on the treatment effected is described in its specific phases giving a particular attention to the therapeutic relationship.
