The paper presents the framework of measures and targets wchich at European and international level have been developed for the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities, looking at the progress made on the initiative of the European Commission and Parliament, in relation to the international stanrdard on the subject, represented by the ONU Convention of 2006, which is described with an eye to its main contents.
