Fear of school is an increasingly common phenomenon that concerns children. This article offers an analysis of the phenomenon according to the Gestalt view, paying attention to the relation between the organism and the environment. The way the child manages his own anxiety towards the novelty causes contacts cycle interruptions which negatively affects the quality of school experience. The article considers the manifestations of fear of school according to the type of contact cycle interruption, it also contains an useful scheme for the formulation of a therapeutic intervention in order to support the child to restore a nourishing relation with the environment.
