The issue of climate change is a major theme that is stimulating a broad debate among the public. In recent years, citizens have received a large amount of information from the media about the causes and consequences of climate change. The authors analyze the effects of climate change in the light of recent global conferences, and then examine the main mode of information used by the media and finally show some attempts to encourage the active involvement of citizens, such as World Wide Views on Global Warming.
