The author traces her own biography and family experiences that have made her sensitive to gender issues. She tells us of her studies in psychology and the choice of becoming a psychotherapist, then she investigates both the critique of Freud that the development of a critical thinking in relation of psychoanalysis to value the gender culture in the field of the therapeutic theory and practice.
