This article emphasizes the asymptomatic nature of drug addiction. From a Lacanian perspective, compulsive behaviour is oriented exclusively to a deadly sort of pleasure that is focused on the repudiation of the Other. Through Freud’s psychodrama, drug addicts can construct a symptom oriented to desire of the Other.
