The article seeks to explain how industrial relations are changing in Italy, as the 2010 Fiat bargaining showed. The author argues that, after 1998, concertation weakened considerably. As a consequence, there is a vacuum in Italian industrial relations which is reinforced by the rise of neo-liberist trends.
