Gender gaps: diagnostic ways, human landscapes. The relation between sex, gender and sexual orientation is not granted. It is shaped by biological tendencies, individual history and socio-cultural contexts. Starting from this complexity, how should we consider the diagnosis of Gender Identity Disorder (GID)? The product of a gender normative culture? The nosographic consequence of an "unexpected" inflexion of the assigned gender? A diagnosis to be kept, changed, or removed? And what is, if there is, the link between gender variance and sexual orientation?
