Alice is a not woman constantly affected by panic attacks when her husband leaves the house. She has a fragile personality that is supported by a peculiar relational strategy: to make herself indispensable to others in exchange for a sense of existence unsupported by her perception of herself as capable of independent agency. The therapist painstakingly noted all his internal experiences, alternating them to the lines of the ongoing therapeutic dialogue. So he could present to his colleagues’ supervision a very complete picture. The focus of the discussion is a dream with clear transference aspects, the only one made in three years of therapy.

Keywords: Panic attacks, changes in the setting, dependent personality, "as if" personality, supervision!
