The concept of resilience indicates the ability of people to cope with stressful and traumatic events and to reorganize their life in a positive way. In a cognitiveevolutionary oriented therapeutic process, which emphasizes the relational matrix of the development of cognitive functions, resilience can be built up by developing self-esteem, self-efficacy, the ability to address and solve problems and make appropriate changes, in a context of security represented by a solid therapeutic alliance.
