Cooperation appears, both from a biological point of view and from a cultural point of view, as a mode of behavior that humans have developed to ensure evolutionary advantages of such individual and/or social. Even in the activity and pedagogical training, the cooperative approach, centered on the constant improvement of the learning process in the course of instruction, is the preferred choice by italian teachers in schools of all levels. However, in recent years, with the establishment of a national assessment system (Invalsi) the Ministry of Education is introducing new forms of competition between teachers, students, classes and schools, with the adoption of anglo-saxon models based on the paradigm of meritocracy measured by standardized tests. Forms of competition favoring the spread of opportunistic behavior and individualistic and that prevent the realization of the ultimate goal of education and knowledge: the emancipation from unfair or unfavorable starting conditions and the acquisition of a range of subjectively significant capabilities to formulate and implement our plan of life.
