The author uses a clinical case to pose the subject of love in severe patients for whom setting a precise diagnosis is quite difficult, and who are categorized by a failure in building narcissism, in primary identification, in the Self. She somehow places the impossibility of love in patients whose bonds have always been conflictive, close to paranoia, and where the other always turns out to be someone not trustworthy. She also introduces difficulties in establishing transference as well as a possible way of thinking it and causing its foundation. How to create, in such cases, an analysis, under what conditions and using what possible strategy.
