The author asks his patients, with whom he has been working for a good length of time, to describe the curative factor that has characterized their therapy. What emerges is the fact that the factor of effectiveness of psychotherapy, notwithstanding the efforts of the Mental Health Services to succeed in objectifying it, is very hard to define in a measurable e quantifiable way
